Adam Mitchel Lambert (born January 29, 1982) is an American singer, songwriter, and actor from San Diego, California. In May 2009, he finished as the runner-up on the eighth season of American Idol. Lambert is currently working on a solo debut album, For Your Entertainment, due out on November 23, 2009.
Lambert confirmed that he was gay in a Rolling Stone cover story interview shortly after he was named the American Idol runner-up. He has since been photographed with his boyfriend, interior designer Drake LaBry.
