Whewwwwwwwwwwwww!!!
It was a fantastic, entertaining, vibrant & awesome party! I reached Golden Gate at 10pm ... thought it was too early for anyone to come &
I would be very early. I was surprised to see 150 people already present &
swinging to the DJ' tune. The crowd swelled rapidly & the final tally was 355!
... the highest number that GB has garnered so far. GB has definitely progressed .... there was a rainbow flag hanging outside GG
(courtesy Vikram) & a banner displaying the URL of the GB website
(www.gaybombay.org) inside GG (courtesy a new member of GB).
The crowd came in all sizes & shapes ..... college students to senior citizens.
The best part of the party was seeing everyone enjoying themselves ..young,
old, gays, lesbians, queens , kings, ....... The music was very good ...even though I cant dance & usually dont anyway... I
could not resist the temptation to step onto the dance floor & try to shake a
leg. The food, which is the trade mark of GG, was good as usual ... Dee has the gift
of ensuring that all varieties of tastes are satisfied.
One advantage of the crowded dance floor was ( as I heard a lot of people
commenting was) that you could not move without bumping into someone .....
One item I found lacking was the mocktails which I look foward too in GG
...hopefuly they will be back in the next party. The party finally ended at 5.15am ...I dont think anyone had the energy to go
on later than that.
One pleasant sight was to see the entire staff of GG also enjoying themselves
after the dinner was over ..they certainly did deserve it. Congrats to Dee once again for the excellent arrangements .... so when is the
next one?
